Dr. Fan Yu received her Bachelor degree  in Dentistry from Wuhan University in 1999 and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 2009.  Before she went on to pursue her DMD at Tufts,  Dr. Yu was privileged to spend three years at the VCU Philips Institute of Oral and Craniofacial Molecular Biology researching periodontal pathogens and gum diseases.  Her research not only led to multiple published papers, but also a more profound understanding in gum disease and overall health. Dr. Yu practiced dentistry for two years on the North shore of Massachusetts before returning to Virginia, where she is now calling home.   Dr. Yu is passionate about  all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide the highest quality dental care to her patients with a gentle touch.  Dr. Yu continues to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry through continuing education and advanced dental training.  Dr. Yu is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Dr. Dan Huang earned his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010. Prior to that,  his dental training includes five years of Bachelor Degree in General Dentistry (BDS in 1994) and five years of fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (PhD in 1999 ) from Wuhan University School of Dentistry  in China.   His oral surgery specialty training also includes 2 years of mentorship with renowned oral surgeon, Dr. Qiu Weiliu, in Shanghai School of dentistry.  Dr.  Huang provides all aspects of dentistry with a special interest and clinical strength in surgical procedures such as  wisdom teeth removal,  implant surgery, soft tissue lesion removal/biopsy,  etc.  He always ensures the patient's comfort and safety in his chair with a caring heart.  Dr. Huang 's  superb surgical skills and experiences as well as his excellent chair-side manner have earned him a renowned reputation among his patients. 

 Meley is a dental assistant with over 14 years of experience, skilled in assisting with a wide range of dental procedures. Born and raised in Ethiopia, she is now happily married with two wonderful kids. Outside of work, she enjoys biking and spending quality time with my family. 

Maggie is a dental assistant, graduated from Virginia Tech in 2023. She is certified with x-rays and assists in a wide range of procedures. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. She plans on pursuing dentistry in the future and enjoys photography on the side.

Our front desk and insurance coordinator, Irene is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming experience for all our patients. She is fluent in Mandarin, Shanghainese, and English. Whether you need help with scheduling or have questions about the insurance, she is here to assist you with a smile. Her goal is to ensure you feel cared for from the moment you arrive. 

Sarah is a dedicated and experienced dental hygienist with a passion for promoting oral health and providing excellent patient care. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is fluent in English and Cantonese and is learning Mandarin. Her favorite activities include visiting coffee shops and walking around parks.
